Welcome to Hobe Sound (Stuart) Florida

Hobe Sound was first settled in 1949 and is located on the eastern coast of southern Florida.

Few visitors come to Hobe Sound. That's what makes it ideal for quiet relaxation. The list of things to do is limited but Hobe Sound has one of the best Florida beaches of any city/town here!

Hobe Sound Florida is a sleepy little town that has some interesting things to offer visitors. From the surfing to the state parks, Hobe Sound will be worth the pass through.

Hobe Sound is more than just one of the best Florida beaches and local surf spots. Jonathan Dickinson sate park is a great spot to learn about Florida nature

The camping sites are large and the bath houses are clean and well-maintained. This is a huge park with lots to do, awesome hiking and bike trails. There is the beautiful Loxahatchee River with great fishing and canoeing, lots of wildlife, and great bird watching. The beautiful Loxahatchee River is within walking distance from the River sites. Canoe rentals are always available. A canoe trip is

definitely a must. The beaches at Jupiter Beach are among the most beautiful in the state. Plenty of shopping nearby. Orlando and the theme parks are about two hours north.

Although Hobe Sound isn't on our surfing spots list, Hobe Sound is where the surfing begins around here!

In southern Florida we are not blessed with good waves due to the Bahamas being 40 miles off our shores. So when the natives want to catch some waves we head north! Starting at Hobe Sound the waves are pretty good in winter time. You can surf good waves from Hobe Sound up to about Cocoa Beach, Sebastian Inlet being the best spot for Florida surfing.

When in Rome, do as the romans do. As with anywhere, you should always check out the local spots to get a real sense of what the local flavor is like. Hobe Sound has some nice local spots to check out that are very beach oriented. Although you wont find much here along the lines of big corporate entities, you will be sure to find a touch of the real Florida!
